Katy Reddy or Ms. Reddy to her students, grew up in Morrison, Colorado and still enjoys visiting her parents there today. She attended Brook's Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA and the University of Montana in Missoula and graduated in the spring of 2006 with a degree in Elementary Education (K-8). While in college Katy was on the UM Ski Team, had her first knee surgery, double majored in Photojournalism and hopes to finish the Journalism soon. After Missoula, Katy moved to Steamboat and student-taught at Strawberry Park Elementary with Barb Gregoire in a 4/5 classroom. She has had many varied experiences with kids including teaching in 2nd-6th grade classrooms in college, working as a YMCA camp counselor, and was the Director of the Steamboat Explorer's Daycamp. She has also been a Big Sister (in the Big Brother's, Big Sister's Program) to a few children in Montana and has worked heavily with the Partner's Program. She has tons of experience taking kids of all ages into the outdoors and enjoys kayaking and rafting, skiing, camping, photography and anything "artsy". She is looking forward to the rest of the school year in Clark and has been learning tons!
