After spending my formative years running
around the woods of Northern New Jersey, I headed out to the
desert for higher education. I received my bachelor's degree
from Prescott College (Prescott, Arizona) in Experiential
Education. Toward the end of my college career I began living
in Steamboat Springs seasonally. I worked for Rocky Mountain
Youth Corps for 4 years leading trail crews of high school
students around Colorado each summer, and then managing the
Yampa Valley Science School(a residential camp for sixth grade
students) in the fall. Shortly after deciding to make the
permanent move to Routt County this past summer I came across
the opportunity to teach at this school, and the rest is history.
